ONLINE SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE WITH THE TOPIC “STATUS REPORT ON RHEOENCEPHALOGRAPHY (REG) STUDIES”

With the current complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam and across the world in order to facilitate adaptation to changing pandemic situation, to promote scientific research and international cooperation activities among lecturers and students, the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Physiology and the Medical English Speaking Club (MESC), with approval from the Rector Board and the Office of Science – Technology and External Relations, hosted this virtual Scientific Conference.
On
December 11th, 2021, with technical support from the Office of
Information and Media, the Faculty of Medicine successfully hosted the virtual
Scientific Conference on the topic of: “Status
report on Rheoencephalography (REG) studies”. The conference used English
as the main language, with participation from over 200 lecturers from the
Departments of Physiology, Psychiatry, Neurology, and undergraduate and
graduate students of the Faculty of Medicine. Especially, this event had the
report of an American specialist in Neurology: Dr. Michael Bodo, expert in scientific research of the
Department of Neurocritical Care, Ochsner Medical Center, teaching assistant of
the Department of Neurosurgery, Tulane Medical School, New Orleans, Louisiana.
With
three consecutive hours of serious discussions, the participants had the
opportunity to hear a report from an international specialist on an interesting
topic, and were introduced to advanced equipment and techniques in the United
States. This is doubly a chance to update knowledge, meet with expert and
practice English skills for lecturers and students of the Faculty. Speaking on
behalf of the organizing committee, Dr. TRAN Thai Thanh Tam – Vice Dean of the
Faculty of Medicine sent words of gratitude to Dr. Michael Bodo, and invited
the specialist to continue taking part in future academic, scientific and
international cooperation activities of the Faculty of Medicine, especially in
the international publication field.
