CTUMP’s students participated in Academic Exchange Program at Walailak University, Thailand
From July 20 to July 31, 2026, the Department of Pharmacy Management within the Faculty of Pharmacy at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) successfully organized a student exchange program focused on the "Hospital Pharmacy Practice" module at Walailak University Hospital in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. The program aimed to foster academic exchange, facilitate the sharing of professional expertise, and enable students to gain exposure to international training models and pharmacy management practices.

Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s students participated in International Exchange Program at Taipei Medical University, Taiwan (China)
From July 19th to July 26th, 2026, a delegation of students from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) participated in an international student exchange program at Taipei Medical University (TMU) in Taiwan (China). The program was organized to foster academic and cultural exchange while enabling students to develop their international integration skills through learning activities, practical experiences, and community service.

On August 13, 2026, at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), the 2026 Vietnam – New Zealand Higher and Skills Forum—themed "Shaping a Shared Future: Talent, Innovation, and Future Skills"—was co-organized by Vietnam and New Zealand. The event was attended by senior leaders and representatives from ministries, agencies, universities, colleges, and vocational training institutions of both nations. The delegation from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tan, Vice Rector.

Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy attends the Vietnam–Australia Tech-Connect Forum on Science, Technology, Innovation, and Education in Sydney, Australia
On August 10th, 2026, the Vietnam–Australia Tech-Connect Forum (focusing on science, technology, innovation, and education) was held at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and organized by the Governments of Vietnam and Australia. Senior leaders, representatives from Ministries, agencies, universities, research institutes, and businesses from both nations attended the event. The delegation from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tan, Vice Rector of the university.

From June 14th to 18th, 2026, Dr. Chau Nhi Van and student Bui Nguyen Nhu – from the 2025 Traditional Medicine Resident Training Class, Faculty of Traditional Medicine – Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) – participated in and achieved a proud accomplishment at the 2026 Vietnam-China Traditional Medicine Skills Competition, held at Guangxi Traditional Medicine University, China, with the participation of 10 universities training in Traditional Medicine from Vietnam and Guangxi (China).

CTUMP and Bandung Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia: Strengthening Cooperation to Enhance Training and Scientific Research Quality
In line with its strategy to expand its network of cooperation with reputable training institutions in the ASEAN region, on July 8, 2026, a delegation from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) paid an official visit to the Bandung Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Bandung - ITB) in Bandung, Indonesia. This visit marks a significant milestone in the University's strategy for developing international cooperation in training and scientific research, opening up opportunities for deeper collaboration in training and scientific research in the fields of Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, and Biotechnology through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the School of Health Sciences and Technology, ITB, and the Faculty of Basic Sciences, CTUMP.

CTUMP and Udayana University: Exchange on Cooperation in Medical Training and Research in Bali, Indonesia
As part of its strategy to promote the internationalization of education and expand its network of cooperation with reputable training institutions in the ASEAN region, on July 6, 2026, a delegation from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) paid an official visit to Udayana University (UNUD) in Bali, Indonesia. The meeting took place in an open and friendly atmosphere and marked an important beginning in establishing a cooperative relationship between the two universities, aiming to develop training, scientific research, and academic exchange in the field of health sciences.
