CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY WORKED AND DISCUSSED SIGNING A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH TORRENS UNIVERSITY AUSTRALIA

On November 25, 2025, a delegation from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Rector visited and worked with Torrens University Australia.

Torrens University Australia is a private university in Australia, part of the Laureate International Universities system. The school is famous for its career-oriented training programs, with modern facilities in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide.

The delegation visited and worked at the Adelaide campus and was warmly welcomed by the colleagues of the school. On the side of Torrens University Australia, the delegation was welcomed by Prof. Hannah Wechkunanukul - Lecturer, Faculty of Education and Health, Prof. Dr. Accamma Oommen - Head of Nursing School, Dr. Sudarshan Subedi – Course Coordinator Community Service, Dr. Sarasvathi Easwvaran – Lab Coordinator, Nursing School, Ms. Laura Castro - Education and Growth Manager, Mr. Max Theethayi, Global Pathways and Mobility Manager.

The delegation visited the modern facilities on the campus of Torrens University, Adelaide campus and had a working session to discuss and introduce cooperative opportunities between the two universities in areas such as student-teacher exchange in Nursing, Public Health and Traditional Medicine, cooperation in training, strengthening coordination in implementing scientific research projects.

          The working session opened up several cooperation opportunities with one of the leading private universities in Australia and at the same time served as a basis for affiliated units to connect, exchange academics and research. At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to realize the goals and directions of cooperation between the two schools in the coming time.
