On November 1, 2025, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) welcomed a delegation from the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) – United Kingdom. Both sides discussed a healthcare cooperation plan aimed at training and improving the professional capacity of physicians.

On November 1, 2025, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) welcomed a delegation from the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) – United Kingdom. Both sides discussed a healthcare cooperation plan aimed at training and improving the professional capacity of physicians.

The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) is a non-governmental organization based in the United Kingdom. CNCF has been operating in Vietnam for over 30 years, focusing on education and community development. The organization also provides healthcare programs, especially for disadvantaged and disabled children.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tan – Vice Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy – chaired the meeting with CNCF representatives
The purpose of this visit was to learn more about the University, its affiliated hospital, and the healthcare cooperation needs of both parties. CNCF expressed its interest in exploring opportunities to implement professional activities and sign a cooperation agreement with CTUMP in the near future.
In the immediate term, CNCF will focus on implementing activities to strengthen capacity building, training, and professional development for CTUMP’s lecturers and hospital physicians.

The meeting established an important foundation for future bilateral cooperation in healthcare, aiming toward a formal partnership agreement between CTUMP and CNCF. This collaboration is expected to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of medical human resources at the University, its teaching hospital, and other healthcare facilities across the Mekong Delta region.
