DENTAL STUDENTS OF CTUMP PARTICIPATED IN THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL DENTAL PHYSIOLOGY QUIZ

On December 18th, 2021, dental students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, with the support of PhD. DO Thi Thao – Vice Dean of Faculty of Odonto–Stomatology, MSc. PHAN Ba Loc and MSc. NGUYEN Hoang Giang, participated in The 5th International Dental Physiology Quiz (IDPQ 2021) organized online by University of Malaya, Malaysia via Zoom Meeting.
After the delay in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the contest returned for the 5th time in 2021 via virtual platform to create opportunities for competing teams to participate actively and flexibly. There were 48 teams from many different countries including: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Philippines, Pakistan, Iraq, Cambodia and Vietnam.

LAM Khanh Duy (Course 44). They spent a lot of time reviewing and preparing for
the IDPQ 2021.

The competition had 4 sessions:
Kahoot!, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals. Two teams, T23 and T24, of Can
Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy competed their best and entered the
"Quarterfinals Round" with 22 other teams.

Participating
in the competition is an opportunity to acquire and learn more about physiology
as well as improve English skills. This is also a great chance for students to
meet, confidently communicate and further strengthen good relationships with
international friends.
Hopefully
in 2022 the pandemic will pass and students of Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology
can directly participate in the contest in Malaysia. From there, they will have
the opportunity to interact with other teams and people in that country and to
widen their horizon as well as improve the ability to adapt to new
environments.
