THE CEREMONY OF WELCOMING AND COLLABORATING WITH HONG BANG INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY

On the off-campus units, there were the attentions of Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien – former member of Central Committee of Communist party of Vietnam, former Minister of Health; PhD. Pham Van Tac – Director of Department of Science, Technology and Training; Prof. PhD. Pham Van Linh – Rector and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan – Vice President of Hong Bang International University. On the side of the school participations, there were Prof. PhD. Nguyen Minh Phuong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council; Assoc. Prof. PhD. Nguyen Trung Kien – Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy; Assoc. Prof. PhD. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Principal of the School; Assoc. Prof. PhD. Tran Viet An - Vice Principal of the School; PhD. Nguyen Thanh Tan – Vice Principal of the School; together with teachers leading the faculties, departments, centers and units of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Hong Bang International University.

 

At the meeting, PhD. Nguyen Thanh Tan – Vice President of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy introduced a general overview of the history of formation and development and outstanding achievements in training, science and technology, medical examination, and international cooperation of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Thus, he expressed his desire to broaden cooperation in training and research in the fields of the university's strengths over the next few years.  

             Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan – Vice President of Hong Bang International University as well made general introductions about Hong Bang International University. "As an international school focused on practical application, the university has carefully cooperated with many large hospitals to facilitate internships and apprenticeship for students as well as adding to the teaching staff of specialized doctors in hospitals. The signing ceremony of extensive cooperation with Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy aims to improve and innovate the training method for the health department of the university." 

On behalf of Hong Bang International University, Prof. PhD. Pham Van Linh – Rector of Hong Bang International University, showed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the university and hoped for further cooperation activities between Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Hong Bang International University will grow increasingly. "By today's signing of the cooperation, Hong Bang International University can learn a lot of knowledge from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy will also learn certain experiences of Hong Bang International University. In addition to the cooperation between the health sectors, both schools also cooperated on postgraduate training, continuing education, equipment and information technology. The two schools can discuss each other about curriculum materials that support teaching." 

On behalf of the leaders of the University, Assoc. Prof. PhD. Nguyen Trung Kien – Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy sent his congratulations and acknowledgments for the participation of the leaders of the Ministry of Health, the leaders of Hong Bang International University who visited and worked in the signing ceremony of the cooperation of the two schools. "Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy has been trying and strategizing to develop the university as a key national university by 2030. The school has also developed the school's vision and strategy to 2025, 2030 and 2045; training in science and technology development, medical examination and treatment training for medical human resources in the Mekong Delta in particular and the country in general. Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy has determined to enhance the role of international cooperation, domestic and foreign cooperation in order to well implement the mission and tasks of the University in the coming time. Today, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy is delighted to cooperate with Hong Bang International University with the spirit of sharing the experiences and strengths of the two sides; promote those strengths to the school within the framework of cooperation."  

Through the meeting, the two sides discussed their desire to cooperate in training, exchange of students and lecturers between the two universities in the framework of scientific research projects. The working ceremony was successful, opening up opportunities for cooperation between both schools in the field of education, training and scientific research.
