CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY WELCOMES THE DELEGATION FROM CHUNG SHAN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, TAIWAN

On February 11th, 2025, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a working meeting and welcomed the delegation from Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan. The meeting included two sessions: the opening ceremony of the second Master's program in Hospital Management and a discussion session on potential collaboration in nursing training and research.
At the opening ceremony, there were the attendance of Assoc. Prof. NGUYEN Minh Phuong, Chairwoman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. NGUYEN Van Lam, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. NGUYEN Thanh Tan, Vice Rector; Dr. LAI Van Nong, Specialist Level II, Director of the University Hospital and Head of the Department of Hospital Management. Additionally, the representatives from the Department of Hospital Management, Postgraduate Training Office, External Relations and Communications Office; along with the attendance of admitted students for the second cohort of the Master’s Program in Hospital Management and current students of the first cohort of the Master’s Program in Hospital Management.
On behalf of Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan, there were the attendance of Prof. Shian-Ying Sung, Vice President; Prof. Kan-Jen Tsai, Dean of International Cooperation; Associate Prof. Ya-Hsin Li, Director of the Office of International Cooperation; Prof. Jeng-Yuan Chiou, Chair of the Department of Healthcare Policy and Management; Associate Prof. Yi-Chang Li, Department of Healthcare Policy and Management; Prof. Cheng-Yi Huang, Chair of the Department of Nursing; Associate Prof. Lien-Jen Hwu, Department of Nursing; Associate Prof. Shih-Chi Chung, Department of Nursing; Dr. NGUYEN Quoc Bao, CSMU PhD Candidate/Institute of Medicine.
At the opening ceremony, representatives from both universities delivered opening speeches and shared their thoughts on the training programs. Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan, introduced the rules and regulations for the course and presented student ID cards and gifts to the new students of the second cohort.
At the session on potential collaboration in nursing education and research, representatives from the Faculty of Nursing at both universities discussed the possibility of cooperation in lecturer and student exchange programs, postgraduate scholarships, and cross-border education.
The meeting was highly successful, laying the groundwork for a partnership between Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU). It also provides opportunities for collaboration in training and research across various medical fields.
