Pursuant to the Decision No.1862/QĐ-BYT of the Ministry of Health dated 27th May, 2019 and the Announcement No. 896/TB- ĐHYDCT-TCCB dated 3rd December of the Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Office of Postgraduate Academic Affairs was established on the basis of postgraduate division of the Office of Undergarduate Academic Affairs.
The Office of Postgraduate Academic Affairs supports the Rector board in building Postgraduate curricula and academic programs, as well as organizing activities and evaluating Postgraduate educational quality to ensure it adheres the regulations established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.
Postgraduate educational program started in 2003 in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy on 36 Family Medicine Specialists Level 1. Up to now (2018-2019), Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy has been training 1458 students of 68 Postgraduate majors/specialties, which consist of more than 25 Specialist Level 1 majors/specialties, 17 Specialist Level 2 majors/specialties, 9 Residency majors/specialties, 13 MS majors/specialties and 3 PhD majors/specialties.
