Within the Collaborative Programs, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) worked with combined delegations including University of Washington (UW) and Medical Education Exchange Teams (MEET), U.S.A. The delegation carried out Educational Exchange for CTUMP’s lecturers and students from 27 to 31 March 2017.
Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), represented by Rector Board of CTUMP; concerning faculties and departments consisting of Faculty of Medicine (06 departments of Surgery, Pediatrics, Anesthesia, Family Medicine, Imaging Diagnosis, Psychiatry); Faculties of Public Health, Dentistry, Nursing and Medical technology, Basic Sciences; Skills Lab Unit, Testing Center have welcomed and worked with the delegations during the week.
The combined delegations including 30 members
represented by professors Helen Sikov and Rob Gertler (MEET delegation); Prof.
Richard Veith (University of Washington). There were professors, doctors and
experts in 11 different educational exchange groups.
Working
activities and outcomes:
Numerous activities on educational exchange and
clinical practice between CTUMP, MEET and UW delegations were successfully done
in various fields of neurological surgery, urology, pediatrics, family medicine,
imaging diagnosis, anesthesia, psychiatry, nutrition, dentistry, nursing care,
medical education and medical language teaching.
Also, several meetings were held to discuss about future collaboration and the next programs in general and in different specialties, including the pediatric surgery program for mal-formation children
