During the week from 06 – 10 April 2015, 12 members of the Delegation from Medical Education Exchange Teams (MEET), U.S.A visited and worked at CTUMP. The Delegation included Dr. Rob Gertler; Team Leader, an anesthesiologist; other professors, doctors, nurses and social workers in Hospice and palliative care, Nursing, Psychology, Rheumatology Emergency medicine, and medical English...
Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), represented by Mr Cao Thanh Van, Vice Rector of CTUMP; Leaders of Scientific Research & International Relations department, Leaders of CTUMP’s Hospital, Faculties of Public Health, Medicine (including 07 related departments), Basic Sciences (department of Foreign Languages), Nursing & Medical Technology, Dentistry and Pharmacy welcomed the delegation.
Working activities and outcomes:
1. Educational exchange was done in various fields: Internal medicine (Rheumatology, Emergency medicine), Oncology, Psychiatry, language teaching.
2. Departments of Family Medicine, Psychiatry, and Faculty of Public Health successfully held the seminars in Hospice/ Palliative care and psychotherapy for CTUMP lecturers and students.
- The plan for Pediatrics Surgery Delegation (PSD) 2015 was discussed and got a consensus. The delegation is going to do surgeries for 90 cases of dentomaxillofacial, urology and general surgery in October 2015.
