RADIOGRAPHY, RADIATION THERAPY & NUCLEAR MEDICINE PRACTICE COURSE FOR STUDENTS OF NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY (AUSTRALIA) AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY (JANUARY 21st – FEBRUARY 1st, 2019)
Upon the project of conjoint Sonography and Radiography training, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Newcastle University (Australia) organized an internship for 16 final –year students of radiography, radiation therapy and nuclear medicine from the University of Newcastle. The course lasted 12 days (from January 21st to February 1st, 2019) with main activities including case discussions, Australian lecturers' workshops, and practice programs under the guidance of doctors and lecturers of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and some hospitals at Can Tho City.

International publication support for lecturers of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2018
In recognition of the efforts as well as encouraging the research spirit in teaching and science of lecturers, the university had policies to grant for those authors who was posted on international journals or composed English specialized textbook. It is a bonus of nearly 30 million VND for an international article. We hope this will add up a motivation for lecturers and university’s professionals to keep striving to develop scientific research capacity and publish in international journals in the future.

VOLUNTEERS AROUND THE WORLD: “MOBILE CLINICS FOR CHILDREN” PROGRAM (January 3, 2019 –January 9, 2019)
As part of the collaboration between Can Tho University of Medicine (CTUMP) and Pharmacy and Volunteers Around the World Organization (VAW), the US, a program called "Mobile Clinics for Children" took place from January 3 to January 9, 2019 at 6 locations in Can Tho city and Soc Trang province. The program was attended by pediatric specialists of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 17 American students, Vietnamese volunteers, and CTUMP’s organizers.

THE TWELFTH NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF PHYSIOLOGY (December 1, 2018)
On December 1, 2018, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy was honored to coordinate with the Vietnam Association of Physiology to host The Twelfth National Conference of Physiology with the participation of more than 300 delegates who are lecturers, scientists, doctors, pharmacists, researchers, etc. currently working at over 40 national and international universities, institutes, hospitals, and research centers such as Hanoi Medical University, Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Malaya University (Malaysia), University of Massachusetts (America), Inje University (Korea), etc.

Delegation from Maastricht University and Radboud Nijmegen University (The Netherlands) visited and worked with Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) (3 December 2018)
On 3 December 2018, the delegation from the Netherlands including Prof. Mike Robertson and Prof. Pie Bartholomeus (Maastricht University) together with Prof. Henri van Asten (Radboud Nijmegen University) visited and worked at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP). The delegation also visited Skillslab Unit, Library, and other units of CTUMP. The delegation did collaborate with CTUMP 10 years ago.

Cantho University Of Medicine and Pharmacy worked with Ghent University (Belgium) from 10-15/12/2018
Within the framework of the cooperation program with Ghent University, Nursing and Medical Technology Faculty of the Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) organized meetings with 2 delegates from Ghent University, Ms. Martine Baert and Mr. Bram Vlaeminck, to work on the exchanging and training program for nursing students. In addition, the two parties discussed the experience from the previous internship program for CTUMP’s nursing students in Belgium in 2018. Two Ghent’s lecturers also gave lectures to nursing students and then performed interviews to select 2 excellent students to practice nursing in Belgium in 2019.
